Digicel DL600 VS DL700

DL600 VS DL700

To the surprise of most of us, Digicel dropped two smartphones in the same year. The DL600 was first released and just within a few months came the DL700, its successor. Most persons already went and got their hands on the DL600 and it has been getting very good overall reviews with a few issues popping up here and there. Not anything much to worry about because it seems that most of the problems arise from persons installing softwares that were not tailor made for the device.

If you were considering getting the DL600, I am sure you will be distracted by the DL700 but do not worry for I am here to give you a close comparison as to what these two phones have to offer in terms of hardware and software. Both phones are reasonably priced so you will not end up breaking the bank when you eventually decide to make a purchase. Lets get into it, here is our DL600 VS DL700 showdown.

As expected the DL700 is a reasonable upgrade to the DL600. In most cases you should enjoy a much better Android experience with the DL700 however some factors such as durability cannot be measured unless you have been using both phones for some time. As to which phone to purchase? here are some of the factors you should take into consideration: Your needs (features that you will be using) and your budget.

I’m happy that I could help, but the final decision is entirely up to you.

So I want to upgrade mom’s phone from the Samsung Galaxy 3 and I was thinking about the DL600. Then I saw an advertisement about the DL700 this week and I was like :O. So mom isn’t going to use many of the features on it since she isn’t too big on social networking. I think if I get her the DL700 and put Candy Crush Saga on it she’ll be good. The DL700 exists because it’s better (even if it’s only slightly) so that’s what I’m getting her! Thanks for this review!

    • Devon

You’re welcome, I am sure she will like the DL700. But i’m kinda puzzled as to why you would want to upgrade from a Galaxy because if it’s a Galaxy S3 then it’s a much better phone than the DL700. But still your choice :).

      • Xavaun Sparks

I sensed that you would probably overlook that there is no ‘S’ there. Just Galaxy 3…the GT-i5800. S3 to DL700??? Total downgrade. lol!!! I’m buying what I can afford to for her birthday because after her birthday is Christmas! :D

Here I am forgetting that you are a tech girl. :-)
Samsung should seriously consider finding better names for their 1000+ cellphones.

          • Xavaun Sparks

            :-) Yeah maybe they should!

does digicel plan to make a dl800?

    • Devon

Good question, we have been on the look out but no evidence of this so far.

  • Sinz

What’s the price for the DLC700 on the website it $499 with data and my friends told me they pay $600+ so Idk can someone tell me the real prince pls.

    • Devon

I assume you’re not from Jamaica? I would go with the price that your friend mentioned , it’s possible the price online might not have been updated.

You would have to contact a local dealer to be sure .
