One of the beautiful things about technology is that almost every problem can be solved if you know where to find the right tool. Accidental deletion of files is one of those things that gets your heart pumping, but definitely not in a good way. Luckily for you, I know the perfect tool for the job.
EaseUS, a well known company for various kinds of data recovery tools, has created EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard, a software designed specifically to recover lost data from various types of storage devices: Hard drive, mobile phone, digital camera, USB drive, Memory card and much more. Whether it is data loss due to formatting, damaged hard drive, virus attack, loss partition or OS crash among others, EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard will help.
EaseUS offers both a free trial version of the Data Recovery Wizard as well as a pro version. The free version lacks unlimited data recovery, lifetime upgrades and technical support, but is a perfect option for someone who wants to give it a try.
How To Recover Your Lost Data With EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard
Step 1 – Begin by downloading and install EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard, then launch the program after installation.
When EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard is launched you are given check boxes for various file types that you would want the program to search for, you can select individual check boxes if you want to search only for specific file types, or check the all file types check box to search for all deleted files.
Step 2 – The next step involves the selection of the storage device that you want EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard to scan, if you have not yet connected the storage device to your computer, feel free to connect it at this stage. For this tutorial I will be doing a flash drive recovery, my flash drive is named WPKEY (G:). After selecting storage device, select scan option to begin.
Step 3 – Scan option should reveal all lost files found on the device listing them in rows showing file names, size, type and date modified. All you have to do next is check the box next to the file you wish to recover and select recover. If you did not see the file which you were hoping to recover in the list, you can use the deep scan option which takes a little bit more time, but does a good job in scanning even further for deleted files that weren’t previously found.
If you have scanned and found files that could not be opened after they were recovered, EaseUS recommends that you check the files by type under “more lost files (RAW)”, these files were found by raw recovery method and have no original names and sorted by file types.
I find EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard to be a very handy software that every PC should have installed just in case something goes wrong. Accidents tend to happen far more than we want them to, and when they do, this tool might save the day.
